Why I Wanted To Read...
I found out that second chances are a real thing and also don't believe the first diagnosis if something is wrong...get a second opinion. I really couldn't wait to read the stories inside and how it related to 12 pearls.

Love the pearls on the cover. Very symbolic. Ties in perfect.
What I Loved...
The conversational style of the authors was very pleasing to read. Their back stories made me want to weep, though. Especially Harriet's. But the rest of the book was heart-wrenching and really touched me and made an impact.

Beautiful beautiful story. The whole book is based on these 13 pearls of wisdom. Love the concept. I didn't even know there was such a thing as gold pearls.The 13 pearls are divided into chapters that begin with a beautiful true story that will melt your heart. After you read the stories, this is when Dr. Lycka and Harriet Tinka engage in conversation about the topic. Love the way they did this...never saw anyone else do it. I enjoyed this book immensely. Made a profound difference in my life and one that I'll always remember and talk about.
