Is drinking having a negative effect on your life? You are not alone!

Millions of strong-minded, capable people find themselves falling victim to the biggest con trick of our time – alcohol!

It lures us with false promises of fun and social acceptability. Instead we find ourselves caught in a cycle of drinking, hangovers, morning regret, and guilt.

Despite being successful in other areas of life, it seems difficult to change our drinking habits. In the face of alcohol it’s easy blame ourselves, and believe we are unable to exercise self-control.

In this ground-breaking book, The Alcohol Con is exposed, and unraveled with insight and humour. Drawing on her own experience, and with a background in science and professional coaching, Michaela Weaver paves the way for you to outsmart the alcohol con, break free and move forward to a bright new sober future.

My Thoughts....

Interesting read. Michaela Weaver takes us through the process of combatting alcoholism in a way that makes sense. In her book, The Alcohol Con: How To Outsmart It, she explains how we can look at it as a con job and lists the players who contribute to it. What I found interesting - well several things - is how the alcohol makers learned to make their tonics more pleasing to the tastes to offset those young drinkers who found it unpleasant; thus allowing more consumers to purchase it. That's one way they conned people into drinking it. I found several things interesting in this book that I had no idea about. But it was in Michaela's easy-to-read terminology that I found the whole subject fascinating and spot on. Will recommend to those who can't get out of the drinking trap as well as families facing the challenge of having their loved ones consumed by the alcohol con.
